The current issue of St. Luke's Healbeat has hit the stands!
Boy, those kids look familiar...
It was strange to see a picture of my kids in the magazine rack as I entered the doctor's office today. I did a double take for just a moment. The receptionist, who of course knows us by now, hadn't seen the mag yet. I had to tell her to go take a look. What a proud mamma moment!
Ethan, by the way, had a good visit with Dr. Nau. Co2 was 76, down from last week, so that is good. He had good weight gain, up to 15 lb 7 oz. Wow! I just pulled out the 9 month clothes for Ethan, only to find that they don't fit a whole lot better than the 6 months... He's a long and skinny guy, almost as tall as his sister who is trying to already outgrow the 12 mo! This baby size thing is annoying, sizing is worse than women's jeans! I just put away a 6 mo sleeper that Ali has been wearing, but some of the 18 mo stuff fits. Geesh.
Ethan is doing much better with holding his head up, especially in sitting position. He still hates tummy time, but he is able to lift his head a little. He is actually pretty close to sitting on his own, so that is REALLY exciting! His favorite new activities lately are doing the yogic toe lock position
and pulling on his oximiter foot probe. (The little thing that is wrapped around his foot that senses the oxygen levels in his blood so we know how much oxygen to give him.) I think he has officially discovered his feet. They almost made it into his mouth today. :)
Ali's feet have been quite busy as of late. She is standing any chance she can get. (Unfortunately for us, she has been practicing in her crib far too often in the night!) She isn't quite cruising on the furniture yet, but she is close. She did surprise me today by successfully crawling up one step. I'm pretty sure that we're going to have to hang everything we don't want her to have from the ceiling, and soon!
