Holy cow, I just ran up and down the stairs a million times to get yet again more milk! Has our little eater has returned? Gone are the days of tiny little one ounce bottles of milk all lined up in a row? (We created the lineup of tiny bottles so we don't have to throw away precious milk if he only takes 20 ml.)
Ethan was fussy and didn't want to go down for a nap, so I say to myself, perhaps he might be hungry. He just ate 30 ml (1 oz) an hour ago, but we'll try it. Sure enough, he was hungry! Not thinking he would eat much I only brought one tiny bottle upstairs with me. He sucked it down in nothing flat! I called for reinforcements and he sucked down another. 60, surely he is full. He hasn't taken more than 60 in months. No, another 30! Then 20. And finally sleep. Unfortunately only for Ethan. I go down to pump. Moments later Alli chirps awake from her nap. The milk is always flowing here.
WOW! SO proud of you Ethan!

Yay Ethan! Keep up the good eating!!!
ReplyDeleteLisa, do you ever wonder if you should have a bell around your neck and have everyone call you 'Bessy'? Because I feel like I should be lined up in a milking parlor with the other cows, and I only have one to feed! :-)

ReplyDeleteI think breast feeding mothers everywhere feel like their other identity has hooves. In all seriousness- congratulations on getting him home. It looks like Ethan and Ali are having a blast together!
