Otherwise known as the Double Baby Meltdown. That is what we affectionately call it when both of the babies decided to have a freak out session. Check our pictures page (link to the right) for a video example if you haven't see it already. Ah the joys of having twins. I, luckily, did not experience any of these today. Hopefully Chris didn't have too many... I had a Pampered Chef show this morning AND Chris sent me out shopping. It's amazing what a little adult interaction and some retail therapy (ok, yes it counts even if it's only groceries) can do for a woman. I came home excited to see everyone and ready to play. :)
In other excitement, Ali used a sippy cup today for the first time. It was an 'old school' sippy cup with no anti-leak technology so she actually got to practice some real cup skills. I was shocked. She picked it up with both hands, put it to her mouth, tilted it up, and drank! There was very little spillage too. Ok, so I helped guide her just a little, but still, I was impressed. From the look on her face she was pretty shocked to find water instead of milk. It was pretty funny.
Ethan had a great doctor's appointment yesterday. He is up to 12 lb 12 oz! That's 10 oz in 8 days. Amazing what a little milk will do. He had a few days of great oral intake, and has been back down to only about an ounce a day. Today at the store I finally picked up some faster flow nipples. His last feeding he took almost 2 oz. Duh. We could have done that a long time ago. We were keeping him on a slow flow nipple early on when we were hoping that he would be breastfeeding some and also so he wouldn't get too much at once. He did just fine with this nipple. I guess the little things really can count sometimes. We'll see what tomorrow brings.
