7.20.08

Chris is officially a daddy. Allison spit up on him today. Of course it was not more than an hour after her bath. It turns out that preemies are just regular little babies. :)

Ethan got the iv out of his head today, so he was finally able to get his first real wash of his hair. He didn't seem to mind it too much at all.

This weekend has been blissfully almost boring. We are finally able to pick up Ali and Ethan without help/permission. So, we pretty much just hold them the whole time we are here, which is fabulous. Oh, and change diapers too. Allison finally pooped yesterday for the first time. I know, I'm sorry. Especially for those of you who don't have kiddos. From what I hear, most of my conversations for the next several years are bound to be about of bodily functions.

  1. Congrats Chris for meeting one of your first milestones of daddyhood - spit up. May your future be filled with many more :)

Steven to this day is still repulsed by spit up. Personally spit up is mild compared to other things you have to come.

Sounds like things are going well so far!

  3. I laughed out loud at your comment!!

Mark said that you're not fully a dad until Ethan initiates you too.

Sounds like you're all doing well. What are their weights now?

  4. Oh, Lisa, ask your dad about your spitting up and his trying to get to a band job and/or his old roommate's comment about your spitting up in the car!! ;-)

  5. Chris, you do need the initiation by Ethan to begin to understand the parent role! Glad to hear the babies are doing well. Don't forget to take care of each other, too!
