It wouldn't be true Ethan without a few ups and downs. His Co2 was up to 95 this morning. HisO2 needs are less, 70-100% Weight was up 50 grams, so doctor suspects that he is retaining fluids? Also his lungs sound more crackly. So he got a little extra lasix this morning. Today is steroid day so that should help too.
He did pretty well for his afternoon breastfeeding, only 22 minutes this time.
I asked about follow-up therapies and Nau isn’t particularly worried about Ethan, especially because he has done so well with his feeding skills!! I just talked to the ot and she said the same. We'll definitely keep on top of it though.
