It is so nice to have a quiet day at the NICU! Yesterday Ethan was really fussy, frantic really at times. As we were leaving we ran into Dr. Nau. He told us that it is likely Ethan is experiencing 'roid rage'. Lovely. They could have told us that before. At least we would have known why he was so upset.

Thankfully, he has been calm today. We were able to hold him and enjoy it. Boy, don't take away his pacifier though. We're going to have a heck of a time getting rid of the Binky some day! He can't wait to be able to nurse. Unfortunately he can't do that until he is off of the cpap. I can't believe it, but Dr. Rosenblum actually talked about the potential to get off of cpap soon! No guarantees, of course. But there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Ethan is 4 lbs 14 oz now. Almost 5 pounds! He's definitely still a skinny guy and fitting into the preemie clothes.

Allison, on the other hand, was a whopping 7 lbs 8 oz at the doctor's office today! She has even made it onto the 'normal' growth charts. Yeah! She's long out of the preemie clothes at this point. Newborn size fits perfect, but it won't be long before she is into the 0-3 month clothes.

Alli is eating like a champ, and Chris and I are amazingly thankful that she is a great sleeper. We put her in her crib (even awake!) and she goes to sleep! Amazing. I think she knows that we really need her to be a good little girl. Anyway, we are just thankful for it at the moment!
