What a difference a day makes! Ethan has been completely calm today. Almost too calm... They thought he might be sick again, but his blood tests (CBC & CRP) came back clean. We think he might just be pooped after several long days of coughing up gunk and being mad! He had another dose of Lasix today, and it seems to have done an amazing job of clearing out the fluid. His secretions are way down and the nurses say his lungs finally sound clear. Yeah.

His numbers are also way better. At 4 am this morning Dr Nau turned down Ethan's PIP (the vent pressure-peak inspiratory pressure) to 32. His CO2 has been in the 60's and 70's - and just now 58! Yeah! They just turned his PIP down to 30. Two days ago he was at 39.

It is almost strange to see Ethan so calm. He almost looks sedated to me. But, hopefully this will allow him to do some good healing.

Alli has been spitting up after feedings lately. It was probably worst yesterday. She has new vitamins with iron so we wonder if that is upsetting her tummy. She has also been more gassy/fussy than normal. I don't know. Or, she could just be eating too much. I'll probably call her doctor tomorrow, just in case. She acts normal other than that, so I'm not too worried.
