Labor Day. Who knew that we would still be in the hospital at this point. Yesterday was the twins' official due date. We were hoping that both babies would be home by now. I guess things don't always work out how you envision. We're trying to stay positive and stay focused on the bigger picture that Ethan will, in fact, grow out of this and be home with us.
We found out yesterday that Ethan has an infection. Turns out that it is Pneumonia in his upper right lung. That's the bad news. The good news is that they think that this might be what has been causing him to get worse instead of better. They're treating with several different antibiotics to be sure that we can knock it out. Hopefully then he will be able to get better for real.
I love the first picture here of Ethan on the Vapotherm. You can really see him! I think that the vapotherm in jinxed though. Every time they try him on it he has a setback. I think the doctors agree...
