Well, I wish I had new news to report, but I really don't. Ethan will on antibiotics for pneumonia for at least 10 days or more. They will probably try to place a pic line tomorrow, since his IV's keep leaking. At least they won't have to keep poking him once that is in. His immature white blood cell count was up again today, so they started a 3rd antibiotic just in case. Holy cow. How much medication can a little boy take? Yesterday he was incredibly fussy, irate really, from a broncho-dilator that he was taking. He was much calmer today since that stopped that med. His CO2 levels were high again today because his right lung (with the pneumonia) was not well inflated. The good news is that it was better inflated this afternoon, so hopefully that will be back in control. This has been one of those days where I have to keep chanting 'He will get better. He just has to grow.'

I thought of something good to leave you with. He still really LOVES to kangaroo. (In case you missed it early on, that's when we hold him on our chest skin to skin.) He relaxes and they can usually turn his oxygen down quite a bit. It is our goal to hold him as much as we can, even if it takes a nurse and a respitory therapist to get him there!
